Structuring and Designing a Blog Template

Many people spend their time on the Internet by putting up articles and informative comments on certain portals. Some have hobbies that include having their own Web logs where they can share their thoughts and ideas on a particular subject.

These are now popularly referred to as blogs. Because it is extremely easy to make and is particularly convenient, the blogosphere is now one big community. Over the years, using templates for posts has become a factor in attracting a lot of readers or followers.

Here are the basic parts of templates:

1. Body. This is where posts are displayed and is a majority of the computer screen.
2. Outer wrapper. This is the container that covers the design. Generally, you build a wrap so you can place multiple smaller boxes inside it.
3. Header. This is the topmost part. There are sub-blocks in this area intended for titles, descriptions, banners, menu bars, etc.
4. Content. It falls immediately below the header. This is also the most important container block of all. Inside this are the sidebars and main bars, wherein the latter includes all the post, comments and ads.
5. Footer. This is at the bottom of the structure. There are also sub-blocks here that could contain additional ads, copyrights, and terms and conditions.
6. Main and sidebar. Both of these are wrapped inside the content block. Also included here are About Me labels, Archive, HTML, etc. Most people prefer to add additional boxes to suit their purpose.
7. Blog post. This is where all the juices come together. Entries, titles, labels, and Author are placed here.
